[Update] I Moved to Gainesville, Georgia!

Thank you so much for playing a HUGE part in leading me on an adventure of a lifetime. I’ve learned so much about my worth and value in the Lord and how much He really does show up today the same way He did in the Bible.

I wanted to update you on what’s been going on in my life and invite you to join me in my next step as I go on board as a full-time missionary with Adventures in Missions, the organization that started The World Race

The past two years of my life have been quite an excursion as I went from graduating college then immediately traveling around the globe on the World Race. Those 11 months turned my life upside down as I began to understand what it truly meant to have a relationship with my Heavenly Father. I want nothing more than to keep giving back to Him!

One of the biggest things I learned this year is what it meant to carry the Holy Spirit with me wherever I went. Last April in India, I found myself preaching in front of hundreds of people, unable to do it on my own accord. You know that verse that says the Spirit will intercede in our weakness? Well, the Holy Spirit definitely stepped in and helped me share stories of how the Lord showed up when I was a child, stories I did not previously remember.

I’ve created a website called Dove Feather that I want to invite you to join. The idea comes from the way that the Holy Spirit is represented when He descends upon Jesus after His baptism. Only after Jesus was baptized did he perform miracles, healings, and many other signs & wonders. Next, He reclaimed our inheritance by His death and resurrection, then left us the Holy Spirit to use in the same way He did.

To me, a dove symbolizes the body of Christ, where every feather works together to keep the bird in flight. By looking at myself as one dove feather, I see you as a vital part of helping me keep the body of Christ in motion. I want to empower, encourage, and teach you about your identity as a son or daughter. I want you to know your worth, because after you understand it, freedom is the only thing left.

This website includes my own personal testimony of who I was, who I am, and highlights all of the countries I traveled to and will continue to serve. It will also include my blogs from the race, as well as a continuation of how the Lord is leading me to bigger and better things today!

I’m so thankful to announce that I just started a job in Gainesville, GA as full time  100% supported missionary at Adventures in Missions. I am the the Executive Assistant for the director of Long Term Missions, Clint Bokelman. I’m getting my hands quite dirty, learning the deep roots of what it takes to keep a huge non-profit organization running properly. Without people managing missionaries and departments in an office position, how could missionaries be sent to over 100 countries in the world on a daily basis?

My tasks include organizing schedules, emails, promoting fundraising opportunities for parents, communicating with long term missionaries, and administering projects connecting missionaries globally. Previously wanting to go be on the TV show “Hoarders,” this job fits me perfectly, as I am able to serve in my giftings of organization, support, creativity, leadership, communication, and aesthetics.

Praise the LORD, I’ve also been introduced to the love of my life, a Texan by the name of Colby Gardner, who serves in the Church to Church department of Adventures in Missions. Church to Church connects American churches with International Churches to maintain long term relationships. Colby his the privilege to lead trips to Haiti, Cuba, the Domincan Republic, and even Nicaragua. I tell my friends all the time, “You know that dream boy you design in your head in middle school? Well he really does exist! God rejoices to give you the desires of your heart, even to the minute details of a hairy mountain man! Haha!”

Again, I want to thank you for encouraging and supporting me while I rediscovered my identity in Christ. I’m so humbled that I was able to experience life out of the American box and share every bit of it with you. I just returned from Haiti with my parents church in Jackson, TN this week, so get ready for some POWERFUL blogs that will wreck your life!!

Blessings abundant,

Sarah Ann White
